Hi all,

Have decided finaly to sort the old A reg 4 door out,

Having been sat with the front end missing its now back together, and heres the problem,

It has the early type electronic ignition distributor, therefore needing the constant engergy unit,

The vehicle has one live feed which is a spade terminal, 2 wires fit into this, white/ pink and white/ purple,

The energy units i have kicking arround have a multi plug with 3 wires,

White
white and black
black

Obviously the black is earth, but how do the other wires connect?

I want to convert it to the earlier type, haynes shows white/black giong to a connection for efi only, so does this need a feed? or can i connect it to live on the coil?

Dont want to buy lumenition kit as funds are tight and i will be selling it!
Need to get it running as the trailer hasnt got a winch!
Help!

White is normally a plus over ignition with LR. The white and black is probably giving a signal to the efi ECU

No guarantees on this though and I'm too lazy to look it up.
